I created a flyer for Peterborough Day 2023 while working at Peterborough County. The flyer content came last minute and left me no choice but to work quickly. Achieving a pleasing design with such a large amount of information added another layer of difficulty. I organized and edited down to provide materials to improve readability. I also emphasized various statistics to highlight and draw attention to all the positive things Peterborough County and the community has achieved. I created this flyer on Canva. Its design is original without ignoring brand guidelines and image. I also had to find creative ways to display a vast amount of information in little space while still meeting accessibility standards. I considered minimum font size and high contrast in my design. My Peterborough Day 2023 flyer was used to represent the entity of Peterborough County. It was handed out to MPPs and their staff during an event at Queen’s Park. I am pleased with what I created and proud my design had the opportunity to impact our political leaders.
